About Maria del Valle Coello

Maria del Valle Coello of Evansville, Indiana, was named a 2019 Barry Goldwater Scholar. Goldwater Scholars have impressive academic and research credentials that have garnered the attention of prestigious post-graduate fellowship programs. Del Valle Coello is majoring in physics, astronomy, and astrophysics at IU and plans to complete a PhD in Physics and Astrophysics, where she plans to conduct research in particle physics and work at a national laboratory or teach at the university level.
