A life member of the IU Alumni Association (IUAA), Lori D. Pearson-Perry exemplifies the spirit of giving back. She served on the IUAA’s Executive Council from 2004–07 and on the Central Indiana Chapter of the Alumni Association board since 2005, where she is currently president. Not only has she been a core volunteer with Indy Runners, IU Runs, and Carmel Road Racing Group, but she also implements the Central Indiana Chapter’s blanket project year after year.
In 2016, Lori joined the IUAA’s Board of Managers as both a manager-at-large and vice chair, helping to guide the IUAA through critical transitions in governance. Always a strong supporter of IUPUI alumni programs—including the IUPUI Alumni Leaders Dinner, Regatta, and Top 100 Outstanding Students Program—Lori was an inaugural recipient of the IUAA Volunteer Leadership Award, honoring our most committed volunteers who are still writing the chapters of their alumni stories. Additionally, Lori received the Indiana University Bicentennial Medal awarded to individuals who, through their efforts, have broadened the reach of IU around the state, nation, and world. She earned her B.S. in Public Affairs from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2001. She currently works as the director of special events and donor relations at the Eskenazi Health Foundation.
