Janelle Stenger received a B.A. in psychology from Indiana University Bloomington, and an M.S. in college student personnel services from Miami University. Stenger’s involvement with Indiana University’s Alumni Association is extensive. Stenger is a volunteer member of IU’s Parent Advisory Board, Division of Student Affairs. She has served as chapter representative of the executive council for IUAA, and is currently a board member of the greater Cincinnati chapter for IUAA. She has served as vice president and president of the IU Alumni Club of Dearborn county, and is currently their scholarship chair.
Stenger works as an academic advisor and records specialist for Ivy Tech Community College in the Lawrenceburg, Indiana region. Previous leadership experience includes serving as area coordinator for Dearborn and Ohio counties for Indiana State University, and as registrar and veterans affairs coordinator and adult degree programs advisor for North Carolina Wesleyan College.
Stenger’s volunteer experience is community based, and includes serving as a pastoral council member for the St. Mary Parish, and as a member of the education committee for Dearborn county Chamber of Commerce. Her service with Indiana University’s Alumni Association is varied and extensive, as previously detailed. In 2019, Stenger was awarded IU’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of her distinguished service and longstanding support of the university.
