Emma Everson is a Ph.D. student in Educational Leadership and Policy at Indiana University Bloomington. Everson teaches A308–Legal and Ethical Issues for Teachers. She is passionate about creating a safe learning environment for her students, with an emphasis on emotional and social well-being. Her research focuses on K-12 teachers’ legal literacy related to English Learner students. She also works as an English Learner Specialist at the Indiana Department of Education. In 2021, Everson was awarded IU’s Lieber Memorial Associate Instructor Award. Her dedication to teaching and advocacy for students has unlocked students’ potential and will continue to impact more lives in the years to come.
