Eitan Moshe Goldman earned his B.S.c. in math and physics from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel in 1992. Upon graduating, he continued his education at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Ph.D. in finance in 2000. He began his teaching career at the Indiana University (IU) Kelley School of Business in 2007 as an associate professor of finance. In 2021, he was promoted to full professor and earned the additional title of Harry C. Sauvain Chair of Finance.
Prior to joining the IU faculty, Goldman held teaching positions at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and Hebrew University. His areas of expertise include corporate finance, corporate governance, the political economy of finance, and finance and the media. Goldman has authored several publications that have appeared in notable academic journals, including the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics.
Throughout his professional career, Goldman has been honored with numerous awards and honors for his commitment to research and teaching. He was the winner of the Standard Life Investment ECGI Prize for the best working paper published in the ECGI Finance series in 2015. He also won the Pearson prize for the best paper published in Financial Management between the fall of 2012 and the summer of 2014 and a distinguished referee award in the Review of Financial Studies in 2011.
