Dr. Anne G. Farrell earned her B.S. from Saint Mary’s College in 1988 and her M.D. from Loyola University Chicago in 1993. She completed a pediatric residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in 1996. In 1999, she completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at IUSM. Farrell joined the staff of Riley Hospital for Children in 1999, where she is a clinical professor of pediatric cardiology and the director of the hyploplastic left heart syndrome interstage home monitoring program. In 2020, she earned the additional, honorary title of Peter Lawrence Phillips Professor of Pediatrics.
Farrell’s clinical interests include fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), pediatric ICU, and congenital heart disease.
Throughout her teaching, clinical, and research career, Farrell has been recognized with an array of honors and awards, including a Trustees Teaching Award from IUSM in 2007 to recognize her outstanding teaching style. Farrell is also a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the National Pediatric Cardiology Study Group.
