The Kelley School of Business is pleased to recognize Dr. Kalyan Katakam, Dr. Chad Mathis, Dr. Christopher McDowell, Dr. Peter Nalin, Dr. Ajit Singh, Dr. Vasu Voleti, and Dr. Curtis Wright for their dedication to the Business of Medicine Physician MBA program. These seven nominees were instrumental as class gift committee leaders in their class of 2019 cohort. Their efforts helped set a new class giving record amongst graduating cohorts with more than $200,000 raised to support professional development, career coaching, and alumni engagement efforts in the Business of Medicine program. Dr. Kalyan Katakam is the vice chair for pediatrics at La Porte Hospital and the vice president of medical practice at SSM Health. Dr. Chad Mathis is the senior advisor in the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Chris McDowell is an emergency physician and the David L. Griffen Chair of Emergency Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Peter Nalin serves as professor and head of the Department of Family Medicine and BioBehavioral Health and associate dean for rural medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Ajit Singh is currently the chief medical officer at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, a level III Trauma Center affiliated with HCA Healthcare. Dr. Vasu Voleti is an emergency physician at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, Indiana and a regional associate CMO for Ascension Health. Dr. Curtis Wright is an internist who practices hospital medicine and is currently CEO of Eskenazi Medical Group.
