About Barbara Schoellkopf

Tom and Barbara Schoellkopf are talented people who care deeply about one another, their family, and their community. Nearly 32 years ago, they founded Tobar, Inc., which they have grown into a successful international business. Together, they are making a difference in their community through a unique partnership with Indiana University– Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC). Their generosity helped establish the Tom & Barbara Schoellkopf Community Counseling Center at IUPUC. This training clinic supports the IUPUC Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling program, facilitating real-time faculty feedback as students engage in live clinical sessions. The clinic will serve IUPUC, Ivy Tech, and Purdue Polytechnic students across campus and provide services for community members in need of affordable mental health care. Tom and Barbara generously give their time, talent, and treasure to benefit entities across our region, including Our Hospice, Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, and various arts organizations. Tom and Barbara truly personify the “Spirit of Philanthropy.”
