About Patrick M. Rooney

Patrick Rooney is executive associate dean for academic programs and professor of economics and philanthropic studies at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Lisa Rooney worked in public accounting in the health care division of a regional firm for two decades prior to starting her own accounting/consulting firm. Rooney and Company currently assists emergency medical services in Indiana recover funds to help cover the expenses incurred by the indigent. Through Patrick and Lisa Rooney’s generosity, students and philanthropy professionals can pursue their passions and make lasting change in the world. Their gifts help provide ongoing scholarships and fellowships, such as the Timothy L. Seiler Award, the William and Edie Enright Fellowship in Philanthropic Studies, and the Jim and Alice Rooney RISE Scholarship, which they endowed in honor of Patrick’s parents’ strong commitment to philanthropy and the value they place on higher education. Patrick and Lisa have dedicated themselves to tirelessly serving the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy’s students and faculty. Their support of the Eugene R. Tempel Endowed Deanship ensures enduring excellence for the world’s first school of philanthropy, which Patrick helped establish. The Rooneys’ generosity is a gift to the world of philanthropy.
