IUAA Volunteer Leadership Award - 2022

About Shishir Desphpande

Shishir became president of the IUAA Delhi Chapter in 2016. In this role, he worked closely with IU’s India Gateway office, the Mumbai Chapter president and volunteers in other key Indian cities such as Bangalore to coordinate IU’s reach within India. He created a social media group to share job postings, recommendations, and during 2021, resources on acquiring health essentials. Shishir has served as an outstanding member of the Executive Council throughout a pandemic and through many timezones.
