Dr. Subha Raman earned her B.S.E.E. from Ohio State University in 1991. She received her M.S.E.E. and M.D. from Ohio State in 1992 and 1996, respectively. She completed graduate work as a fellow at the National Science Foundation. She began her teaching career as a professor at Indiana University (IU) in the Department of Medicine in 2020.
Raman’s career at the Indiana School of Medicine (IUSM) stems beyond her teaching role. In 2020, she was appointed Chief of Cardiology, Director of the Cardiovascular Institute, and Vice President for Cardiovascular Services. Before beginning her career at IU, she was a faculty member of the OSU College of Medicine from 2002-2019. At OSU, she established and expanded cardiovascular imaging services as integrated clinical, research, and teaching services.
Raman is involved with several medicines and science-focused organizations, including the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
