IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2022

About Indiana Department of Education

The Department of Education’s $1,452,769 two-year funding of the Student Learning Recovery Grant was awarded to the IU Student Success Corps’ tutoring and mentoring program in support of thousands of K-12 students across the state. Hundreds of college tutors and mentors are future-focused and innovative in building K-12 students’ confidence, improving academic performance, and engaging partners throughout the state. This inclusive program support inspires learning for all students affected by the pandemic. Learning recovery, as well as the intentional focus on the social-emotional wellbeing of our young people, is for the public good and is fully in accord with the goals of the Spirit of Philanthropy Award.
