About Richard D. Kiovsky

Rick Kiovsky, M.D., holds generosity and service at his core, and this value has clearly manifested in his role as president of IU School of Medicine’s Dean’s Council Board of Directors for the past two years. Under Rick’s leadership, the board has become a group of engaged leaders advocating for the school around the state, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars for projects as diverse as student mental wellness and scholarship funds for medical students from underrepresented minority backgrounds.

Rick has held numerous leadership roles in his 28 years as a faculty member at IU School of Medicine, including as professor of Clinical Family Medicine and director of the Indiana Area Health Education Network. He was recognized numerous times for excellence in volunteerism and teaching before his retirement in 2016. IU School of Medicine thanks Rick for the many ways he demonstrates leadership and generosity through his service and philanthropy.
