IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2022

About Corinne E. Ulbright

Dr. Corinne Ulbright was a beloved faculty member in University College and in the Department of Biology in the School of Science. She was instrumental in welcoming new students to IUPUI as a lecturer in the Bridge Week program, even into her retirement. Dr. Thomas Ulbright was a beloved faculty member of the Indiana University School of Medicine from 1980 until his retirement in 2014. The Ulbrights have long been dedicated to public education and have shown a passion for all IUPUI students, particularly those without a support system, to help them succeed in college. In partnership with their three children, the Ulbrights recently established the Thomas M. Ulbright, M.D., and Corinne E. Ulbright, Ph.D., Scholarship to provide an annual scholarship for an independent youth IUPUI student in perpetuity. The Division of Undergraduate Education is proud to recognize Drs. Thomas and Corinne Ulbright as our 2022 Spirit of Philanthropy Honorees.
