- IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2024
Ed Fujawa is an IU and IUPUI alumnus with a Master's degree in Library & Information Science and a current member of University Library's community advisory board. Mr. Fujawa's contributions to University Library are multi-faceted including: his own financial commitment and facilitating University Library's partnership with the Jungclaus-Campbell Mill. Through this relationship, the library created a digital collection of historic photos reflecting the construction of Indianapolis buildings like the Madam Walker Theatre and Murat Temple. Mr. Fujawa was also instrumental in planning an event at the Mill, which was both a fundraising and image raising success for University Library.
Mr. Fujawa is an attorney and historian from Indianapolis. His curiosity about our city can be read in his blog class900indy.com and inspired him to author his first book, Vanished Indianapolis, released September 2023. In his spare time, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife Ashlee (also an IU graduate), serving on his neighborhood board, running on local trails, and kayaking Indianapolis waterways, often in search of some historical locations."
