About Dancing for Dennis

Dancing for Dennis was established in 2013 by the family of Dennis Trackwell, who passed away from multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer. Dennis had a zest for life and loved to dance! So, his family and friends continue to gather every year in his memory for a fundraising event that benefits Miles for Myeloma at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center. The mission of Miles for Myeloma is to lessen the burden of this disease by providing support for multiple myeloma research and enhanced patient care. An evening at Dancing for Dennis is filled with joy, laughter and dancing. In its ten years, Dancing for Dennis has generated more than $95,000 for Miles for Myeloma. This effort not only provides philanthropic support, but it also creates visibility for IU cancer research in the community.
