About Norman Stiefler

Norman and Millicent Stiefler both received their undergraduate educations from IU--Norman's in biology and microbiology, and Millicent’s from the School of Education. Their philanthropic philosophy to “help where they can” has led to the creation of numerous endowed scholarships across the IU Bloomington and IU Southeast campuses.

They have also directed support to IU Southeast’s Ogle Center Endowment Fund to help finance free tickets for children to attend shows at the facility. In honor of the Stieflers’ generous gift, these children now attend shows in the Millicent and Norman Stiefler Recital Hall. Norman says, “There were two things that my parents and Millicent’s parents taught us that we much appreciated. One is the importance of education and the other is that, if you can, you help where you can.”
