Donald B. Marti is an associate professor emeritus of history at IU South Bend. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1961, his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin in 1963, and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1966. Marti joined IU South Bend’s faculty in 1966 as an assistant professor of history and was promoted to associate professor in 1971. He also served as chair of the Department of History in South Bend from 1974 to 1976 and from 1991 to 1993. In 1997, he received a Fulbright award to lecture on American history at Kazakstan State University of World Languages in Almaty, Kazakstan. Marti retired from IU South Bend with the title of associate professor emeritus in 2003.
