American astronaut and medical doctor, David Wolf is a veteran of seven spacewalks, logging 168 days, 12 hours, 56 minutes, 4 seconds in space over four separate missions. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine (M.D. 1982), he pioneered the development of modern medical ultrasonic image processing techniques. In addition to his fifteen U.S. Patents and forty technical paper publications, Dr. Wolf has received the NASA Exceptional Engineering Achievement Medal and NASA Inventor of the Year award.
