About Harry V. Velten

Harry V. Velten was an American linguist and professor of German at Indiana University. He served on the faculty at IU for thirty years earning much esteem and affection of his colleagues while giving freely of his time and talents in his work with students. Velten passed away on May 24, 1967, just a month short of his retirement date of June 30, 1967.
