Monle Lee is a professor emerita of marketing in the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics at IU South Bend. She received a B.C. from Feng Chia University in 1975, an M.B.A. from Eastern New Mexico University in 1980, and a D.B.A. from the University of Memphis in 1986. Prior to joining IU South Bend’s faculty, she taught at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, and also worked as the marketing development manager at a garment company for several years. Lee joined IU South Bend’s faculty in 1987 and also served as chair of marketing and business law from 2005 to 2016. In December of 2016, Lee retired from IU South Bend with the title of professor emerita.
Lee served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar in 2001 where she conducted research on direct marketing in Taiwan at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a recipient of IU’s 1994 Teaching (FACET) Award and IU South Bend’s 2002 Distinguished Research Award. Her professional interests include international marketing, online advertising, advertising, and integrated marketing communications, service marketing, and business ethics.
