Willard Bostwick was a professor emeritus in the School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI having served the school for many years with dedication and distinction until his retirement in 2001. Bostwick first joined IUPUI’s faculty in 1976 as the director of external programs and professor of organizational leadership and supervision. He served as associate dean of student affairs from 1976 to 1992 and as associate dean of technology programs from 1992 to 2001. Prior to joining IU, Bostwick served as an instructor and associate professor at the University of Louisville from 1965 to 1976. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University in 1961, a M.A. in Educational Administration from Roosevelt University in 1964, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Kentucky. Bostwick served in the Naval Reserves for 29 years rising to the rank of captain. Bostwick was inducted into the Indiana Academy of Sciences in 1983 and received a Fulbright award in 1992. He was a recipient of The Commander’s Award for Public Service from the U.S. Army as well as the Edward C. Moore Top Administrator award and the Glenn W. Irwin service award.
