About Laureen Maines
Professor Maines serves as Chairperson of Accounting and the KPMG Professor of Accounting in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She earned her BS and MBA from Indiana University and an MBA and PHD from the University of Chicago.
Prior to joining the Kelley School, she worked with Ashland Inc., Executive Education and Deloitte & Touche, and held faculty positions at Duke University and the University of Chicago.
She received the 1998 Beta Alpha Psi Most Outstanding Faculty Award, the Kelley School of Business Faculty Research Award in 2001 and 2003, and the Kelley School of Business Trustees Teaching Award in 2006. Her research interests include: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Behavioral Decision Theory.
