Lawrence D. Glaubinger Professor of Business Administration

About R. Thomas Lenz

Professor Lenz received a Bachelor of Science degree with high distinction from the School of Business, Indiana University in 1969; an MBA degree from the University of Louisville in 1972 and DBA degree from the Indiana University School of Business in 1977.

Professor Lenz joined the faculty of the Management Department of the Kelley School of Business as Assistant Professor in 1977 was appointed Associate Professor in 1982, and Professor in 1988. Professor Lenz conducts research on executive leadership, organizational change, competitive analysis, and strategic decision-making. His work appears in the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Strategy, Long Range Planning, the Academy of Management Review, Business Horizons, and in textbooks and other professional publications. Tom also served as a member of the Editorial Review boards of the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review.

Professor Lenz served as Associate Dean, Indianapolis Programs from 1987-1993; Chairperson of the Executive MBA Program and Chairperson of the MBA-CIP Program from 1985-1993; Visiting Professor of Strategic Management at Stanford University in 1987; Chairperson of Executive Education, and Chairman of the Board of Kelley Executive Partners from 2004-2009. In July 2009 he was appointed Chairperson of Undergraduate Program of the Kelley School of Business and named Lawrence D. Glaubinger Professor or Business Administration.
