Uric Dufrene serves as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, a professor of finance and holds the Sanders Chair in Business. As the executive vice chancellor he is responsible for the quality, development, and promotion of all academic and non-credit programs and courses on campus. He oversees faculty personnel matters, periodic reviews of academic programs, and assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness. Dufrene also oversees the development and use of learning resources, including the library. Dufrene's professional interests include corporate finance and regional economic development.
He received a Ph.D. from University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS, in Finance in 1992; an MBA from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, LA in 1987, and a B.S. from Nicholls State University, in 1986, in Finance.
Dufrene received the IU Bicentennial Medal in August 2020 in recognition of his distinguished service at Indiana University Southeast.
