Anne Belcher is Professor of Nursing and Chair of the Department of Community & Health Systems at the Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She earned her BSN, MSN, and DNS from Indiana University. She has published a number articles on community health and has been awarded a variety of external grants.
Dr. Belcher has a background in community health nursing, with emphasis on school health, childhood obesity, and immunization compliance. Her academic interests center around action research, civic engagement, community collaboration, service learning, and interdisciplinary education for health professionals.
In 2005, she received the Tony and Mary Hulman Health Achievement Award in the field of Preventive Medicine and Public Health from the Indiana Public Health Foundation, Inc.
In 2020, Anne Belcher was presented the Bicentennial Medal for her distinguished contributions to Indiana University.
