Wendy Weyen Wallace graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a B.A. in journalism and a B.S. in business in 1986.
At IUB, she served as editor of the INDIANA DAILY STUDENT and had internships at THE WASHINGTON POST and the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL. After earning an MBA from IU, she began her career as a reporter for the ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, where she covered a variety of local beats before switching to the business side of the paper and working in a number of positions.
In 2004, Wendy became director of the Poynter Institute's high school program. A few years later, she took on a number of business projects with Poynter.
A Certified Journalism Instructor (Journalism Education Association, 2010), Wendy has formerly served as president of the IU Journalism Alumni Board. She is also on the advisory board for the Center of Scholastic Journalism at Kent State University.
