Larry J. Mikulecky received his B.A. from Saint Olaf College in 1969. He then earned his M.A. from John Carroll University in 1970, and his Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1976.
Mikulecky serves as a Professor of Education, is the Chair of the Department of Literacy, Culture and Language Education, and as Director for the Center for Innovation in Assessment in the Office of Research at Indiana University Bloomington. His research focuses on adolescent and adult literacy as well as the use of technology in language and literacy learning, as well as workplace literacy and the use of technology in relation to language and literacy. Mikulecky also coordinates the nearly two dozen on-line courses offered by the Language Education department.
