L. Todd Thomas received his B.A. from Morehead State University in Kentucky, and an M.A. in Interpersonal Communication from Auburn University. He then earned an M.S. in Educational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Human Communication from Indiana University in Bloomington.
After completing his degrees, Dr. Thomas served on the faculty at North Carolina State University and at Indiana University as a Professor of Organizational Psychology. He then left academics for the corporate arena. He spent five years at Rockwell Avionics, and then four more years as the administrator for Organizational and Executive Development at Daimler Chrysler. Thomas then formed his own consulting and speaking business, IMPACT Development and Consulting. He is still President of IMPACT and is an Associate Professor and Lead Faculty for the Leadership Curriculum for the DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University in Michigan.
Dr. Thomas has provided seminars and presentations in over 20 countries, and has coached and consulted with over 3000 leaders from 40 different countries spanning 4 continents. He is a member of the National Speakers Association, the International Federation of Speakers and the Les Brown Platinum Speakers Network. Dr. Thomas has been featured on Fox Business News, CNBC's Squawk Box, the Wall Street Journal, the Street.com, among other mediums and publications.
