Mary Fell is Professor of English at Indiana University East. She holds an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts (1981).
During over 30 years at IU East, Fell has mentored junior faculty, played a crucial role in revising and diversifying curricula, and helped to build a dynamic creative writing program. She is recipient of the Helen Lees Award for Excellence in Teaching at IUE (1997) and a National Poetry Series Winner (1983). More recently, she received the IUE Chancellor’s Faculty Award (2010).
She is the author of a collection of poems entitled THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY (1984). She has also had essays and poems published in numerous journals.
