About Dave Volz

Dave won track letters in 1981, 1982 and 1983. He won Big Ten outdoor pole vault championships in 1981 and 1982 and won Big Ten indoor pole vault championships in 1982 and 1983. Dave was the NCAA pole vault champion in 1981 and set American record in the pole vault twice in 1982. He was a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic team where he placed fifth and still holds IU and Big Ten records in pole vault, both indoors and outdoors.
