A Muncie, Ind. native, Schulhof, a two-time All-American and 1964 Gimbel Award recipient, earned letters in 1962, 63 and 64, and was the team Co-Captain in 1963-64. He was the National Champion in the 100 and 220 yard butterfly in 1962 and won eight international butterfly championships including in Europe, Japan and East Germany in 1962 and 1963. Individual butterfly records include a National High Sschool, two Big Ten, two NCAA and two American marks, as well as a World Record set in 1962. He also shared in three NCAA, two American and two world relay records, plus an Olympic relay record as a member of the 1964 Olympic Team in Tokyo.
