- Distinguished Professor - 1976
Dr. Roscoe E. Miller received both his Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctor degrees from Indiana University. He completed his residency in radiology at the University of Chicago. He served on the IU faculty for 28 years and attained the rank of Distinguished Professor. He was nationally and internationally known for his expertise in the area of gastrointestinal radiology, with nearly 200 scientific publications and three textbooks to his name.
Dr. Miller was devoted to teaching, writing extensively on teaching methods. He served his country during WWII, rising from rank of Private to Major in the European theater, and receiving the Bronze Star and Belgian Fourragere for gallantry in action during the Battle of the Bulge.
