James W. Torke joined the faculty in 1971 after practicing law with a Minneapolis, Minnesota law firm. Previously, he served as law clerk for Chief United States District Judge Edward Devitt. During 1986 to 1988 he served the law school as acting associate dean for academic affairs.
He is the author of the Torke and Stroud, Indiana Pleading and Practice, and many articles and reviews on American constitutional law.
