Madalyn Parnas completed her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Music Industry and French at the College of Saint Rose. She has earned an artist diploma at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music as a student violinist under Jaime Laredo. In the fall of 2012, Parnas will begin her studies at London's Royal Academy of Music on a Marshall Scholarship.
Already at 20 years of age, Parnas has performed fifty times as a soloist with orchestras, concertized with Peter Serkin, and even earned enthusiastic reviews in the New York Times. As Duo Parnas, with her cellist playing sister Cicely, the sisters earned first prize in an international competition at Carnegie Hall. The Duo records with the Sheffield Lab label.
