Ernest Ferguson, III is president of Midwest Mortgage Management Company in Chicago, a company he founded in 1991. Midwest Mortgage is a value-added asset management firm specializing in the mortgage and asset backed markets. The company manages money for both institutional and high net-worth individuals, and has managed a portfolio of more than $70 million of single-family loans and mortgage securities.
Prior to being named president of Midwest Mortgage, Mr. Ferguson was president of Resolution Enterprises, Inc., an approved contractor with the Resolution Trust Corporation performing closings of savings associations, investigating for potential litigation by the RTC against officers and directors, and compliance reviews.
After receiving a BA degree from Cornell University in 1973, Mr. Ferguson earned an MBA degree in finance from Indiana University in 1977. He was awarded a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management for Minorities scholarship and served as a member of the board of the Consortium from 1984-1986. From 1986-1989 he was a member of the Indiana University School of Business Alumni Association board of directors.
A dedicated member of his community, Mr. Ferguson is active with the Boy Scouts of America, the American Youth Soccer Association and his church.
Mr. Ferguson and his wife, Fay, who also holds an MBA degree from Indiana University, have one child and live in Chicago.
