Born in Rushville, Ind., the Honorable Mayor Joe Hogsett has lived and worked in Indianapolis for more than 35 years. Hogsett served six years as Indiana's Secretary of State and four as United States Attorney. On November 3, 2015, Joe was elected to serve as the 49th Mayor for the City of Indianapolis. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University before earning graduate degrees from Indiana University, Butler University, Christian Theological Seminary, and the IU Maurer School of Law.
Hogsett received the Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished contributions to Indiana University.
