About John M. Holt

John Holt worked as an attorney at Eli Lilly & Company, and retired as secretary and general counsel of the pharmaceutical division in 1987. He was a founding director of the law school’s alumni association and was active in the group for many years. He served as co-chair for the law school’s first fund drive, had served as chairman and vice chairman of the law school’s Board of Visitors, and was a member of the school’s Capital Campaign steering committee from 1996-2000. Holt was active in the community, having belonged to the bar associations of Indianapolis, Indiana, and District of Columbia while being a founding member of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation Board of Directors.
