About Gerald K. Anderson

Mr. Anderson attended Indiana University on an athletic scholarship being a member of the football teams of 1950, 1951, and 1952. Upon graduation in 1954 he entered the construction industry through guidance, counseling and campus interviews provided by the Kelley Business School Placement Service.

After serving in various management capacities in the glass and aluminum framing systems for commercial buildings industry he ascended to President and Director of Apogee Enterprises, a diverse publicly held firm located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. retiring in 1995. The company was named as 'One of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in America' by Fortune Magazine while he served the company.
