Angelo Lazzara graduated from IU in 1941. In 1939 and 1941 he was a Big Ten title holder for the 155-pound class in wrestling. Immediately after graduation, Lazzara joined the US Army and served four years overseas as an athletic director. He then became vice president of Blue M Electric Co., manufacturers of temperature controlled equipment in Blue Island, Illinois.
Lazzara was a campaign worker for the 150th Birthday Fund, and a member of the IU Alumni Association, Hoosier Hundred of Varsity Club, and the "I" Men's Association.
