Roscoe "Cow" Minton was IU's captain in the 1919 IU-Centre game, and had an outstanding career of his own. World War I had interrupted his college years; he entered military service after starring in the Hoosiers' 37-0 rout of Purdue in 1917, and returned to campus in time to be there in 1920 when the bitter rivals got together again. He scored Indiana's touchdown in a 10-7 victory, and also scored the Hoosiers' first touchdown that year.
