Ben Londergan was an outstanding scholar-athlete at IU, a four-year varsity soccer player and a Wells Scholar, with a major in mathematics and minors in French and Economics as well as a LAMP certificate. Ben received the Jack D. Tichenor Award for earning the highest GPA among all male varsity athletes.
After graduation Ben went to work for Group One Trading as a trader trainee, doing mainly clerical work, but also learning how to trade. He worked in San Francisco, then Chicago, and then in Dublin, where he opened Group One's European office. He returned to the US in 2003 to become Managing Director of the Chicago office and a year later the Co-CEO of Group One, a position he continues to hold. Ben is a member of the Board of Directors of Group One and also on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Ben is married to IU alumnae Kari Hunt Londergan. They are the parents of three children.
