Thomas (Tom) M. Bartholomy earned his M.P.A. from Indiana University in 1986.
Bartholomy has served as the President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Southern Piedmont since 2001. From 1986-2001, he served as President & CEO of the Better Business Bureau in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Bartholomy's 25 year service to the Better Business Bureau has made him one of the leading experts in the country on fraud and scams. He is a highly-respected and credible source for local and national media.
Bartholomy has served or is currently serving on various boards and committees including Council of Better Business Bureaus, BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Better Business Bureau Operations Committee (the highest elected office in the BBB system), and the BBB National Survey Committee.
Bartholomy received IPFW's Alumni Citation Award in 1998. In 2008, the Public Relations Society of America's Charlotte Chapter selected Tom Bartholomy as the recipient of the prestigious Pegasus Award, given to a non-PR professional who uses public relations to better the community and their organization.
