Mary "Beth" Collins Pateman is the Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the College of Education at University of Hawaii - Manoa. She earned her B.S., MEd., and EdS. degrees from the University of Georgia and later her HSD and MPH from Indiana University. Her career in health education has spanned over 40 years, serving at elementary, secondary, and university levels. At UH-Manoa, Pateman leads assessment and accreditation efforts for improvement of the programs offered at the College of Education. Her areas of interest include child and adolescent health, teacher education, and assessment and accreditation.
She is a fellow in the American School Health Association, and was a recipient of the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation W.W. Patty Distinguished Service Award from Indiana University in 2002.
