Recker (2002-04) was a two-time First Team All-Conference honoree during his career, including earning Mid-Con Player of the Year honors in 2004. Despite playing just two years, Recker’s 34 singles wins stand third all-time while his .642 singles winning percentage is second in school history. He became the third in school history to win at least 20 singles matches his junior season and followed up with 14 singles wins his senior year. He also holds the school record for consecutive singles wins, notching 13-in-a-row in a stretch to close his junior year and start his senior year. In doubles play, he holds the school record with a .702 winning percentage and is sixth all-time with 33 victories. His single-season .760 winning percentage is tops in school history while his 19 doubles wins are tied for the school record.
The Jasper, Ind.-native earned national acclaim during his career, being named a Verizon Second Team Academic All-American and First Team Academic All-District following his senior season. Recker is the third former men’s tennis standout to earn IUPUI Hall of Fame induction, joining George Adams and C.J. Roach.
