About Sondra Bandy Koontz

Sondra Bandy Koontz is the retired vice president for advancement at Bethel College in Wichita, KS. She first joined the college in 1998 after being approached by then-president Doug Penner. In her position, Koontz was responsible for fundraising for the improvement of university facilities such as the Leisy Admissions and Welcome Center, Voth Hall (residence hall) and Krehbiel Science Center campaigns. She also led the Will Family Academic Center design team. She graduated from Bethel in 1970 and earned her M.L.S. from Indiana University in 1971.

Prior to joining the staff at the college, Koontz was a department head at the Wichita Public Library.
