About Jeffrey S. Davidson

While building a successful career in commercial litigation as a partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Los Angeles, Mr. Davidson has dedicated himself to providing access to justice for the citizens of California. He is an accomplished trial lawyer who has worked on cases involving contracts, securities, antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, insurance coverage, intellectual property, products liability, toxic tort, and environmental matters in state and federal courts, in federal administrative proceedings, before AAA and NASD arbitration panels, and before the London Court of International Arbitration.

Kirkland graduated from Maurer School of Law in 1973 and soon joined the firm afterwards. He became a partner in 1978, and was a member of its Firm Management Committee for seventeen years (1990-2007). As of 2013, Kirkland is the most senior partner in the L.A. office. He is also known for his pro bono work, having been awarded the 2005 President's Award for Pro Bono Service from the California State Bar Association.
