About John W. Purcell

John Purcell is an attorney at Faegre-Baker Daniels law firm in Indianapolis, IN. He often represents employers and fiduciaries regarding counseling, plan design, regulatory compliance and litigation with respect to employee benefit plans, including pension and profit sharing plans, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), health and welfare plans, executive compensation programs, and other benefits practices.

Purcell has been honored with recognition of "Best Lawyers in America", the Distinguished Service Award from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, the Edna B. Lacy Community Service Award, Jefferson Award, Richard A. Ports Award, and Order of the Coif. He has been a past director of the Labor section of the Indianapolis Bar Assocation, past president of the Labor & Employment Law section of the Indiana State Bar Association, and served on several committees for the American Bar Association.
