Dan E. Spicer is a former assistant professor of accounting from Indiana University-Southeast who left his position in 1972 to return to school full time for his J.D. in 1973 from Maurer School of Law. After he graduated, he became licensed to practice law in Colorado, and based himself in the Denver area. Over the years, Spicer became actively involved in the local Latino community. Today, he is an attorney known for doing pro bono work for members of the area's Latino community. His humanitarian work includes working with the Children's Hospital Colorado to bring several Chilean children for surgeries they needed in 2010.
