Michael L. McCurry is originally from Indianapolis and was recruited to IU to play football. After earning his degree from the university in 1986, he was a professional football player for three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings of National Football League and the Chicago Bruisers of the Arena Football League.
McCurry now works as a real estate investor and realtor. He is an elder of Christ Church of Oak Brook and has spent 16 years volunteering in the youth ministry. From 1998 to 2005, he served as president of the Chicago Chapter of the IU Alumni Association.
